SWMO AHEC Collaborative: Spring Physician Panel Event

This event was planned in response to the increase in health professions students in the SW Missouri region and will address the identified advantages & challenges of serving as a preceptor, as indicated by the recent preceptor survey

This Faculty Development Session is co-sponsored by the SWMO AHEC Collaboration and the Department of Health and Senior Services.



Discussion will include:

  • Medical school curricula/expectations
  • Maintaining and increasing clinical productivity while teaching
  • Working students into busy practices
  • Practice-based teaching strategies
  • How to evaluate student performance
  • Patients resisting student doctors 
  • What makes a good preceptor
